The town of Amboise

Your itinerary must absolutely include a visit to the town of Amboise. This history-laden jewel of the Loire Valley is notably known for its famous Château d’Amboise. It was the residence of Charles VIII and Francis I. The town is also home to the tomb of the famous Leonardo da Vinci.

Orléans

Orléans is one of the best-known historic towns of the Loire Valley. Discover its old town and its monuments. You’ll also find the statue of Joan of Arc, the Maid of Orléans, an iconic figure in French history.

The troglodyte dwellings

The Chaumont-sur-Loire Garden Festival

This international festival was first launched in 1992. Gardens and green spaces take centre stage. The event is held between April and October on a vast 10-hectare estate.
