What criteria help identify an eco-friendly campsite in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté?
An eco-friendly campsite in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté can be recognised by concrete commitments such as responsible water management, limited use of chemical products, waste sorting, and landscape integration. Some hold environmental labels or verifiable approaches, but observing practices on site remains essential.
    Are eco-friendly campsites necessarily labelled?
Not all eco-friendly campsites are labelled, but many adopt responsible practices without official certification. Labels and environmental charters provide a recognised framework, but the absence of a label doesn't mean a lack of genuine commitment, which is why it's worth checking the actions actually in place.
What concrete actions are taken to limit environmental impact?

What types of accommodation are found at a nature campsite?
At a nature campsite, you'll find simple accommodation such as wooden chalets, lodge tents or eco-designed mobile homes. Pitches for tents and vans often remain the priority, with discreet integration into the environment and minimal land development.
Can you expect a certain level of comfort at these campsites?
The level of comfort at these campsites varies by establishment, but remains consistent with an eco-friendly approach. Facilities are generally functional, with attention paid to energy and water consumption, without seeking excessive equipment.
What constraints can you encounter at an environmentally friendly campsite?
An environmentally friendly campsite can sometimes involve constraints such as limiting energy-hungry equipment, set hours for certain facilities, or strict sorting rules. Peace and quiet is often prioritised, with little noisy entertainment, in order to preserve the natural setting.
Are the activities on offer connected to nature?
The activities on offer at these campsites are generally connected to nature, such as hiking, cycling, or discovering the local landscape. Some establishments encourage gentle, educational practices, in keeping with their environmental approach.
Can you stay as a family at this type of campsite?
Staying as a family at this type of campsite is entirely possible, with facilities that are suitable while remaining simple. Children enjoy a natural environment and outdoor activities, in a setting that is often calmer and less developed.
