Gite et Camping de la Motte Aubert

In Saint-Saturnin-du-Bois, in the Charente-Maritime, between La Rochelle and the Marais Poitevin, La Motte Aubert is an unusual eco-hamlet spanning over 15 hectares, born from a former 18th-century vineyard and horse-breeding estate. The eco-campsite offers six spacious pitches, a gypsy caravan, two yurts and three Inuit tents, with dry toilets and a 350 m² natural pool along a shared garden. The project fosters biodiversity and permaculture, alongside an organic market gardener, a chicken farm and a Montessori-Freinet-inspired school. About twenty residents live on site, pursuing food and energy self-sufficiency. A rare place for a holiday combining nature, sharing and intergenerational living.
