France 4 Naturisme is the federation of France's great pioneering naturist campsites. The 5 members listed here share a demanding naturist charter and concrete environmental practices: water management, energy savings, eco-designed accommodation.
Several members hold environmental labels (Clef Verte, European Ecolabel). All practise at minimum selective waste collection, water savings and preservation of the natural setting. Check each campsite's page for certification details.
Spring and late summer: nature is at its best, the campsites are quiet and lower footfall limits the impact on surroundings. Prices are also more affordable outside July-August. The estates in Corsica, Provence or the Pyrenees are particularly pleasant in June and September.
