Camping à la Rencontre du Soleil offers a full range of services for a hassle-free stay. Reception is open every day from 8am to 12pm and 1.30pm to 7.30pm, with a team on hand to advise on hikes, routes and activities in the Oisans.
On site: a restaurant serving regional mountain cuisine (raclette, tartiflette, homemade pizzas, local produce), open from 15 May to 15 September, fresh bread sold every morning, free Wi-Fi across the whole estate, renovated sanitary facilities with an accessible cubicle, and a relaxation and cocooning area. Located on the Route de l’Alpe d’Huez in Bourg-d’Oisans, in the Isère, Camping à la Rencontre du Soleil is set within a protected natural area: the Écrins National Park, with its peaks over 4,000 m, high-altitude lakes and wild gorges, is accessible on a day trip from the campsite. The site has 50 spacious pitches, 12 mobile homes, 11 chalets and 4 unusual gypsy caravans for a full connection with the alpine environment.
A member of the Flower Campings chain, the establishment nurtures an area-conscious approach: participatory tourism with local producers, a restaurant open from 15 May to 15 September serving regional mountain cuisine (raclette, tartiflette, Oisans produce), fresh bread sold every morning, and free Wi-Fi across the whole estate. Located at the foot of the Alpe d’Huez and on the doorstep of the Écrins National Park, the campsite is an ideal base for exploring the Isère Alps. The 21 legendary hairpin bends of the Tour de France attract cyclists from around the world, from beginners to fans of alpine mountain passes.
The trails of the Écrins Park lead to crystal-clear high-altitude lakes and peaks over 4,000 m. In the Romanche gorges, rafting, canyoning and via ferrata await thrill-seekers. Paragliding, climbing, mountain biking and participatory tourism with local producers and craftspeople from the Oisans round out the offering. In winter, the ski resorts of the Oisans are accessible within a few minutes from the campsite.
