Perched above the four castles of Lastours, in the Aude, 20 km from Carcassonne, Le Belvédère campsite offers a remarkable view over the medieval ruins and the valley. This small 2-star site has around twenty pitches with valley views for tents, caravans and motorhomes, complemented by standard-comfort or Ohara mobile homes. An on-site shop and wifi make everyday life easier, and pets are welcome. Awarded the Green Key label, the site follows an eco-friendly, small-scale approach. It makes an ideal starting point for exploring the remains of the Cathar castles and the rugged landscape of the Montagne Noire on foot, in a simple, unpretentious atmosphere.
