A 4.5-hectare botanical garden with over 3,500 plants, deliberately with no organised entertainment: CosyCamp campsite embraces a firm philosophy in Chamalières-sur-Loire, Haute-Loire, 1.5 hours from Lyon, on the banks of the Loire Sauvage facing the ruins of Château d'Artias and its basalt outcrop. This eco-friendly 4-star, 90-pitch site, deliberately kept human-scale, offers two heated outdoor pools plus a 15 m² indoor pool heated to 32°C. Natural swimming in the Loire at 24-25°C in season, a permaculture garden, eco-friendly wooden structures, a bonfire area and yoga sessions round out the offer, among safari lodges, tipis, stilted cabins, covered wagons and straw huts. Traditional pitches by reservation only, from 30 April to 20 September.
